WHO WE ARE-

The Steele family brings 100 years of hospitality experience to the mission of The Blooming Bistro (TBB). In the 80’s, Albert and Stephanie Steele opened a local loved restaurant named The Aristocrat. It was in the same Town and Country Center TBB resides. 

Mark Steele trains the young adults through his established business, Restaurant Hospitality Institute (RHI). He has trained and coached thousands of people in Las Vegas and throughout the world.

With 20 years in nonprofit program development, combined with decades of restaurant experience, Samantha Steele teamed up with her family and a group of passionate professionals to make the bistro bloom. TBB offers at risk/disconnected youth and adults workforce training to obtain sustainable employment and enhance their lives. 

OUR CHEF

Chef Calvin brings over 40 years of creative culinary experience to The Blooming Bistro mission. With a broad range of culinary skills, cuisines, techniques and methods. Chef Calvin has been classically French trained under such great chefs including Master Chef Gustav Mauler, Chef David Alenick, and celebrity Chef Helene An.

Chef Calvin stays contemporary with new trends holding on to the influences of southern comfort American cuisine that was a part of his upbringing and family. Chef brings a healthy approach to everything he cooks. As Chef Helene An would say “The Ying and Yank fusion/ Past and Present. 

Chef Calvins 12 step program has made his life worth living and the gratitude of having a chance to pay it back is top of his list. The Blooming Bistro is blessed that Chef is taking his expertise and passion to mentor the second chance adults and at-risk youth.
